Description
On Sunday I noticed that an EncFS volume on which I tend to rely (amongst other things, used for much of my e-mail etc.) was not present. This particular volume -- gjp22-private -- is a MacFusion? favourite.
AFAIK the volume had unmounted cleanly, I don't know when, but I suspect that it should not have done so -- from what I can gather, Mail.app may have been running (but not particularly active) at the time with, I would have thought, open files on the EncFS volume.
MacFusion? 1.2 beta 3
[macbookpro03:~] gjp22% which encfs
/usr/local/bin/encfs
Build: encfs version 1.3.2
I shan't guess the version of EncFS.plugin but as a guide,
[macbookpro03:MacFusion/plugins/EncFS.plugin] gjp22% ls -al . total 0 drwxr-xr-x 3 gjp22 admin 102 Oct 3 15:36 . drwxr-xr-x 4 gjp22 admin 136 Nov 10 04:26 .. drwxr-xr-x 5 gjp22 admin 170 Oct 3 15:36 Contents [macbookpro03:MacFusion/plugins/EncFS.plugin] gjp22% pwd /Library/Application Support/MacFusion/PlugIns/EncFS.plugin
syslog information pasted to http://pastebin.ca/779984
I vaguely recall that at some point (many hours earlier?) I had inadvertendly physically disconnected a FireWire? drive before logically unmounting one or more of its six volumes. That's probably reflected in syslog but I don't know whether it's relevant.
